MLB lists Tyler Glasnow to start for the Dodgers after six days of rest. He has completed three conventional starts since returning from an absence of almost four months, although that recent back history leaves more scratch risk than with a routine listed starter.
The Dodgers are protecting postseason position and remain in the hunt for a first-round bye, so urgency is not in question. The issue is production: this order now has fewer ways to survive a quiet game from Tucker or Muncy.

Five Dodgers runs require too many uncertain pieces
The case rests on cumulative lineup attrition rather than one matchup trick. Ohtani is unavailable, Freeman may be absent or compromised, and the designated-hitter replacement brings athletic upside without major-league certainty.
Phillips has the movement profile to keep contact in the larger parts of the park if he stays below barrels. Should he hand over a close game, a rested Fairbanks gives Miami a better chance to close the final door than it had Friday.
This wager does not require the Marlins to win or Glasnow to dominate. It asks the Dodgers to stop short of five runs in a pitcher-friendly setting, and the current lineup card makes that the cleanest angle.
Miami’s bridge relief remains the clear danger after Friday’s collapse, especially if Phillips cannot work deep. Tucker’s current pitch recognition also leaves very little margin for a middle-zone mistake.
